Summary of the Hardware Engineer - Automotive:
Hardware Engineer with automotive control systems experience is required to play a key role in the development of the automotive embedded electronic control unit hardware for one of our clients in Kentucky. This client is a market leader in developing next generation vehicle technologies for powertrain, hybrid, stability controls, and other related systems. This is an opportunity to be a key player at a company with a great reputation in automotive technology and growing business.  They offer a great long-term opportunity in a true team environment. In this role, you will be responsible for design, testing, analysis, and simulation of analog and digital circuits. If you have hardware design experience with automotive applications along with the knowledge of programming and base2, base10, and base16 conversion, then this position is well suited to you.

Responsibilities of the Hardware Engineer - Automotive:
  • Provide support in automotive embedded electronic control unit hardware development.
  • Design, testing, analysis, and simulation of analog and digital circuits
  • Prepare and maintain the documents such as  RPLs, eBOMs, Material Data Sheets (MDS), Design Notes & failure analysis presentations for existing and new products development
  • Build prototype for new & existing products
  • Perform validation testing with failure analysis for new & existing products.
  • Investigate and implement automation improvements to the test stands and judgment parameters 
  • Prepare final report for failure analysis activities and present the same to the technicians and engineering personnel
  • Create various hardware and software design documents as required.
  • Work with cross-functional teams and customer engineers to ensure goal achievement and troubleshooting within the specified time

Qualifications of the Hardware Engineer - Automotive:
  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering. Masters preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in circuit-level analog and digital hardware design.
  • Experience with automotive technology is a plus.
  • Ability to perform various analysis and interpreting the results.
  • Hands on experience with laboratory test equipment such as multimeters Cops logic analyzer power analyzer.
  • Perform investigative circuit analysis using device schematic of product and test equipment.
  • Experience creating WCA and PSPICE.
  • Experience with hardware design for Automotive applications.
  • Programming experience with C or C++ is a plus.
  • Knowledge of base2, base 10 and base 16 conversion along with the hex editors.
  • knowledge of  CAN, SPI, LIN, UDS, or other communication protocols is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of wire harness and/or loadbox assembly and repair 

Compensation of the Hardware Engineer - Automotive:
Salary Range: $80,000-110,000/year

Location:  Lexington Area
Type:  Direct Hire
Travel: As and when required (domestic and global locations)
