Job Summary of the Embedded Software Engineer - Linux:
Embedded Software Engineer with embedded Linux systems experience is needed to play a key role in the development of the GUI application for embedded Linux in C/C++ for one of our clients in Michigan. This client is a  global player in the field of advanced medical devices and healthcare technology. If you have experience with HW/SW development for embedded Linux systems along with the knowledge of standard communication data protocols such as UART, USB, I2C, Ethernet etc. then, this position is well suited to you

Responsibilities of the Embedded Software Engineer - Linux:
  • Support bootloader and kernel integration on embedded processors, including configuration, testing, and driver changes as needed.
  • GUI application development for embedded linux in C/C++.
  • Interact with cross functional teams for requirements development.
  • Create all document tangibles to support software development
  • Verify implementation meets design, and design meets requirements

Qualifications of the Embedded Software Engineer - Linux:
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science. Masters preferred
  • MUST HAVE experience with embedded linux kernel
  • 2+ years of experience in Hardware/Software development for embedded Linux systems
  • Experience developing in a controlled environment under configuration management
  • Knowledge of standard communication data protocols such as UART, USB, I2C, Ethernet etc.

Compensation of the Embedded Software Engineer - Linux:
Salary Range:  $70000-$110000/year, depending on experience

Location: Stevensville, MI
Type:  Direct
Travel:  Up to 25%
