Job Summary of the Algorithm Engineer – ADAS:


Our client, a cutting edge developer of automotive technology, is growing due to years of successful business and looking for an Algorithm Engineer- ADAS to support them in designing, simulating, and implementing and testing sensor fusion algorithms for ADAS/autonomous driving controls. In this role you will establish the requirements for sensor fusion and will develop fusion algorithms. This is a tier one automotive supplier company which offers an opportunity to work with great leaders in the industry. If you have strong experience with developing and implementing complex algorithms using Matlab/Simulink, then this position is well suited to you.


Responsibilities of the Algorithm Engineer – ADAS:
  • Establish requirements for sensor fusion and performance targets.
  • Implement fusion algorithms using recognized coding practices such as (MISRA C) and model-based-design such as Matlab and Simulink.
  • Development of fusion algorithms which are optimized for low-cost,automotive-grade sensors like camera, radar, ultrasonic, lidar, GPS, IMU.
  • Development of fusion algorithms with the capabilities of real time execution on automotive-grade embedded processors.
  • Design test plans for fusion based applications and support in vehicle testing, data analysis, and performance reporting.
  • Troubleshoot and fix issues in fusion based active safety systems

Qualifications of the Algorithm Engineer – ADAS:
  • Bachelors in Engineering or Science, Masters preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in embedded C programming and Simulink with C code S function development.
  • Skilled in mathematics and algorithm development.
  • A background with Model based software development for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems is desired.
  • Strong knowledge of sensor technologies and expected measurement errors.
  • Experienced in any 2 of these techniques
    • System State Estimation
    • Multi-Target Tracking
    • Track-to-Track Association
    • Statistical Inference
    • Error Modeling and Propagation
    • Sensor Characterization
    • Sensor Modeling
    • Vehicle Dynamics
  • Experience with Sensor object fusion algorithm development will be a plus.
  • Knowledge of Radar signal processing, Camera image processing and object detection will be a plus.
  • Experience with Functional safety ASIL level compliance, Vehicle CAN protocol and CAN data analysis will be beneficial
  • Experience with ADAS application development:  ACC, AEB, FCW is good to have
  • Experience in Rapid prototyping with dSPACE ECU is beneficial

Compensation of the Algorithm Engineer – ADAS:
Salary Range: $90,000-120,000/year, depending on experience
